In 2020, Small Steps teamed up with Ashton Pickle of AH Vessels and Wonders Around the World to build our Girls, School and Community a Skatepark, and introduce Skateboarding to our neighbourhood and the wider region.
Small Steps for Compassion and AHVessels partnered with Wonders Around the World to build our community a skatepark.
“I think skateboarding is probably one of the most inclusive sports there is, and it’s one of the most supportive sports there is. It doesn’t matter what stage you are, or how good you are or what skill level you are. There’s a place for everyone and I think that’s really important. A lot of people don’t have that community. Of feeling like they belong and skateboarding is one of those where nobody is excluded.”
